The objective of the Cardiac First Response Advanced level is to cater to individuals employed in emergency medical services, fire and rescue services, or healthcare professionals working in healthcare facilities or the community. Attaining the CFR Advanced level is a requirement or condition that must be met before or simultaneously with enrolling in PHECC's Emergency First Response, EMT, and paramedic courses.

  • Certificate of Competence valid for 2 years will be issued to all learners who successfully complete this course.

  • This course is aimed at Emergency medical technicians, Paramedics, Advanced Paramedics, or people who work or volunteer in a pre-hospital setting and anyone who have already completed the basic CFR course and have experience in providing emergency care.

  • • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

    • Aspirin administration

    • Use of AED (automated external defibrillator) use

    • Heart Attack

    • Stroke and choking

    • Oxygen and advanced airways

  • The course is highly interactive with each theory session being followed by a demonstration, practical tasks, and assessment of individual skills. EFAST instructors consider the type of training that will be most effective and adapting for your workforce, taking into account the specific skills and knowledge required for each role

    In the classroom, students participate in simulated scenarios. Students work with an Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Instructor to complete skills practice

  • Students will be assessed on a practical scenario and 25 multiple choice questions. Upon successful completion of this course students will be issued with an PHECC Cardiac First Response Advanced Certificate.

    Certification valid for 2 years.
